🏐 The VNL is back, we are ready.

Timeouts & Effective Communication.

Welcome to The VolleyBrains Weekly. I know you missed this…let’s go.😎

Here's what we've got this week

  • Translated Timeouts are where it’s at.

  • Back your receivers up. INCOMING.

  • What it takes to be a happy coach.

Subtitled and translated TOs are back.

The VNL started again! And that means that we're able to listen in on what the coaches of the best teams in the world are saying during their timeouts.

We were busy taking notes on most of last week's games, and we chose to dive a bit deeper into the game of June 1st, Poland versus Italy.

The fully subtitled and translated clip of every single TO (9 of them) from that game is available in our (members-only) article right over here.

Preview of our TO video.

If you’re heavily munching on these TOs (like you should)…also take a look at our earlier timeout article with John Speraw and Nikola Grbic

BACK THE HECK UP.

…when one of the world’s best servers lines up at the 9-meter line.

Serbia’s receiving line showed the respect that Vargas from Turkey deserves.😉

Check out the clip below. Vargas serves out, if you pause at the right moment you’ll see that Serbia’s receivers are able to easily judge the ball's trajectory and let the ball pass.

BE A HAPPY COACH…NUFF SAID

Mr. Lorenzetti knows…

My goal is to be a happy coach. I am a happy coach when: The relationships I have with my players and staff are optimal.

When I see and feel that we all got on the same train to reach the same destination.

When the work in the gym makes sense. When the work and effort we are putting in every day helps to improve our team.

Angelo Lorenzetti
