Being scared is part of the game!
In this clip Tokyo Olympic Gold medal coach of the French national team, Lauren Tillie, talks about how, the player, is in control of his/her attitude on the court.
And how he thinks getting into that right persona is important on many levels.
Olympic Gold medal coach Laurent Tillie talking about having the right 'attitude' to play.
About how a player must know that he/she can adapt.

Or read it below:
I really think that with your body language, I mean your attitude you can even change your state of mind. It's normal that you have stress. It's normal that you are scared.
When I was still a player, I was always scared, but it's part of the game and you have to accept it.
Prepare yourself you need to have the right attitude, body language, and way of moving and be concentrated.
I often use that image of the boxer. When you go in the ring, or you go to the beach, it's a totally different attitude. And immediately you understand what I mean.
If you have the right attitude, as a coach, I have nothing to tell you because you are in the game and mistakes are part of the game and I have to accept that.
More on Laurent Tillie in his Masterclass. There are 19 exclusive clips in there.
Dude, you're not even allowed to choose the freaking snacks.
Yeah, you'll need to listen to the clip below to get the gist of this title.
The Learner Lab is an excellent podcast for every coach out there.
The Learner Lab was also mentioned by Purdue's head coach Dave Shondell (in his Masterclass) AND a little birdy told me that Karch also did a small project a while ago with the founder of this podcast.
Enjoy this 90-second clip where author Elizabeth Gilbert talks about how she let fear 'accompany' her.
Trevor Ragan's (from @learner_lab ) podcast series is epic.
Beautiful little gems in there. As is this clip with Elizabeth Gilbert (@GilbertLiz)— volleybrains (@volleybrains)

So our goal isn't to become fearless. We just don't want fear making our decisions when we're trying to compete. We do that by flipping the script. Our tough emotions are there for a reason. They're adaptive. They can equip us for a challenge, and they can be signposts to learning opportunities.
HOLD UP!
Yeah okay, back to some lighter stuff right now. 🙃
The Highlander...Matej Kaziyski
There are some of these players, man. MAAAAN!
There is a dude walking around in the Italian Superliga, nearly 39 years old, still making double digits, sometimes even getting close to 30 points a match. (like last weekend)
Hey, this isn't your rec league, this is the Italian Superliga, the toughest professional club league in the world. The place where the best players in the world compete.
Matej Kaziyski is going to be 39 years old next September. Hats off to you sir.
Check both of these clips...FOR SURE don't miss the second one.
Some crazy stuff in the next clip ...Matej in 2009, that's 14 years ago!
Down 20-23 in the 2nd, just watch what happens.
By the way, do the kids here actually know who 'The Highlander' is?
Reply if your dad didn't introduce you to the classics. 😇
