San Diego went on an incredible run last season, ending the season with a spot in the well deserved NCAA National Championship Semi-final.

Reffing gone bad.

Below is a clip of last Friday’s Turkish Play-Off Semi-final.

Here is what happened at 9-7 in the 3nd set.

So I can think of 2 possibilities here.

It’s Sunday morning over here, so the creativity oven isn’t cooking at full power yet, bear with me on this.

1.The Turkish (and international) ref is trying her best to free up her summer international referee schedule. Good for her, everybody deserves a break.

2.The international governing body is finally experimenting with their ‘joker rule’, one action every match you are allowed to wipe your behind on the FIVB rules. Extra points for creativity.
